Walt and Marv formed a partnership to build custom homes in 1990. Marv’s wife
Deb created the name; “Rite” from the first few letters of their last name
(Ritter)
and “Way” from the last few letters of Walt’s last name (Arway).
Our partnership originally focused on Walt’s skill in building custom homes
(he has been building homes for over 30 years and is the oldest son of an East coast
custom homebuilder) and our intense interest in nurturing a custom home building
business. Walt oversees our field operations, gently guiding soon to be new home
owners through the building process while working hand in hand with the Village,
our architects, craftsmen, subcontractors and suppliers.
Marv has always held a full time position in another endeavor, but when time
permits he concentrates on Rite-Way's marketing, acquisition and business
strategy. Marv's wife Deb managed Rite-Way's finances until last
year. She now concentrates on the design and selection of the finishing
touches found in our speculative homes and works in our marketing group.
Terri Pfeiffer is our Chief Financial Officer. She joined our team in
the fall of 2004. Terri manages our office
and oversees all financial aspects of our organization. She is been
instrumental in re-organizing and transforming many of the business (and most of
the financial!!)
activities of our business. Although we have been
friends for 25 years, we didn't connect Terri's years of experience in construction
accounting with our growing need for professional management. Needless
to say, we are thrilled Terri is on our team.
Frank Flores is our Master Carpenter. He has worked with Walt for
over 20 years, creating the custom trim touches that set Rite-Way apart from its
competitors. It is safe to say that if you have admired the custom trim
within a Rite-Way home, Frank has been responsible for it as he has trimmed
every home we have ever built. Each new home just gets better and better
thanks to Frank's dedication and attention to detail.
Jesus Flores and Jaime Farais work hand in hand with Frank creating the
custom trim and finish details that continue to wow even our most sophisticated
buyers. As a team, Frank, Jesus and Jaime are among the best
trim carpenters you'll ever find. Their attention to detail is absolutely
incredible. We are truly blessed to have them on our team.
Please visit one of our model homes to see their
work first hand.
Brendan and Kevin Arway have been working in the field on a part time basis
for the last few summers. Kevin is a senior in high school while Brendan
is tackling his third year of college. We're not sure that they plan to
follow the footsteps
of their father, but are pleased they are part of our organization.
Together we are Rite-Way Custom Homes.
