Our homes feature 30 year, 300 pound architectural shingles over 15 pound felt with 24" rubberized ice dam underlayment over soffit areas.   Be sure to compare builder's standards as some of our competitors use non-architectural 20 and 25 year shingles of lesser weight without rubber ice dams.
